The last few years have brought unprecedented change to our lives, our families, and our communities. As a result, the journey for kids to get a good education is even more challenging given so many uncertainties surrounding us today. Every day, every donation helps us meet these challenges and further our mission by providing kids in families with less resources the essential needs for school.
Supporting Kids Through Challenging Times
We Give To Kids began its mission in 2021 to help kids during COVID. Those years brought unprecedented ongoing changes into our lives, our families, and our communities. As a result, the journey for kids to get a good education is even more challenging given so many uncertainties surrounding us today. Every day, each donation helps us meet these challenges and furthers our mission by providing essential needs to families with less resources.
Expanding Our Programs to Meet Growing Needs
Our mission has continued for over 4 years now. We initially began providing school supplies and meals but have expanded our programs to include items such as clothes, school fees, and services. We recently started a Quick Response Inventory program carrying about one hundred items for school supply kits, dental kits, hygiene kits, and lice treatment kits. All items not in our Quick Response Inventory program are purchased at the time of need.
Filling Gaps in Essential Services
We help families fill the gaps in government programs for the kids in Food Share, Free and RPL School Lunch, Foster Care, Homeless, and Special Education Programs.
Partnering With Schools and Charities for Impact
We do not do this alone, as we work closely with social workers at several schools and with other charity organizations to share ideas and work together to provide kids with essential needs. These organizations are a great help to our organization, as they have in depth knowledge of the families and kids and their needs for essential items. Help Keep the Kids Smiling.
